I Wish I Was the Moon:
Photographs by William Wood
80p. Color, 10”H x 73/4”W
Edition of 100

William Wood is not distracted by his phone, at least not when he is walking the streets of New York City. He uses the camera in his iPhone to capture bits of the city that catch his eye. After a few years posting his favorites online, I was able to convince him to make a book. These images seemed worthy of printing on paper in an object we can hold in our hands. Wood calls his urban abstractions, “moments in time,” which sounds right. These locations have certainly changed by now, the spills have been cleaned up, the walls painted over, making this book a time capsule.
