Indestructible Artifact #34 (Provide), 2021, bird baths and feeders, water and bird food, silver paint, dimensions variable.
Charged with creating an outdoor sculpture, I knew immediately what I didn’t want: something that stood there as if it were holding its breath. But nature is complicated and humans have done enough damage, so I challenged myself to use only older birdbaths that people were giving away. The bird seed and water would be helpful, the spray paint, obviously, is not.

In addition to the outdoor exhibition, an indoor show was orgazined. Images of the installation were combined with found images and cyanotypes, live plants and painted canvas to create a handful of wall pieces.
